Alimosho local government has denied abandoning the project for the construction of one-storey building with 10 blocks of classroom and vocational centre at Rauf Aregbesola primary school.

The council disclosed this in a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the Chairman, Mr. Jamiu Ayinde, in response to media reports of alleged abandonment of the project.

According to the statement, the construction of the school project will recommence next week.

Our Community reported the alleged abandonment of the project which was meant to be completed in six months but remains uncompleted one year after.

In the statement, the Vice Chairman of the council and Supervisor for Works, Hon. Francis Adebisi said, “the completion process of the construction will commence next week”.

He added, “The project was not abandoned.

“We are just trying to put some logistics in place to ensure we complete the project once and for all.

“The education of our young ones remains our priority.

Our Community can report that the Rauf Aregbesola Primary School project was included in the council’s 2019 budget signed more than three months ago.
