Residents of Ikotun area have complained about the recent flooding in the area a few minutes after a heavy downpour on Friday.
A resident, DJ Klassique, posted a video on social media showing the flooded situation of Bayota Bus-Stop, Governor’s Road in Ikotun.
In a series of reactions on the social media platform, Twitter, the residents complained about the daily situation of the roads in Ikotun, while accusing the Lagos state government of not doing enough to fix the roads.
The residents further complained that the people living in the area were also taxpayers and therefore entitled to dividends of democracy like rehabilitation of dilapidated roads.
“Ikotun Road is too bad, I don’t think Lagos state government have plan for them.. the main land roads are so bad… people living there are also taxpayers,” a resident, Fashal Diamond, said.
