LASU Isheri
The affected road

Residents of Alimosho have complained over recent road repairs in Egbe-Idimu LCDA which they said has left the road worse than its former state.

These complaints came in reaction to the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) sharing photos online showing the LASU-Iba Road by Isheri before and after it was repaired by the corporation.

In a series of reactions on social media platform Twitter, the residents stated that barely few hours after the palliative work, the road has been washed out by the rain due to lack of proper repairs, while charging the government parastatal to conduct thorough repair works.

The residents further explained that the situation has caused longer traffic jams in the area.

“The job done by the government at Isheri, in front of the Egbe Idimu LCDA is already washed out because it was not properly done. What caused hours of traffic yesterday, is still causing longer traffic jams. Please let’s do thorough jobs”, a resident, Tunde, said.

Akintunde Laja-Deile, another resident, stated that the road was worse than its previous state.

“Good morning… I just passed this same place now and the condition is worse than before it was fixed,” Akintude said.

The residents therefore charged the government to take necessary actions towards the issue in order to reduce the sufferings of residents in the area.
