The Lagos State Universal Basic Board (LASUBEB), on Monday, December 9, commenced training of primary school teachers on the use of modern-day technology to enhance teaching efficiency.

The training, which was code-named Eko Excel meaning Excellence in Child Education and Learning, was a means of improving the development of teachers for global competitiveness.

Mrs Folashade Adefisayo, the Commissioner for Education who flagged off the training, stated that the programme became an imperative as outlined in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the present administration.

She explained that the aim of the training was to deliver on the governor’s commitment in ensuring that access to quality education is available to every child in the state.

Adefisayo added that the programme is expected to train and retrain over 14,000 government teachers across the state with technology-driven devices.
