The Lagos State Government has promised to provide enabling environment and infrastructure needed to improve internet access in the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this at the opening ceremony of the 2019 science camp on Monday.
The Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Hakeem Fahm, who represented the governor, stated that the enabling environment was crucial for improved productivity.
“The enabling environment is crucial in improving the productivity of our youths and more importantly, for the achievement, for the achievement of the Lagos Smart City project,” he said.
He reiterated that in line with the THEMES agenda of the state government, adequate attention would be given to providing well-equipped science laboratories in schools around the state.
He stated that technology remained one of the highest sources of paid employment, adding that technologically savvy individuals are sought after globally.
