The Chairman of the Alimosho People’s Democratic Party (PDP) elder’s council, Hon. Ganiyu Alani Ige, has enjoined party leaders across the 20 local governments to cooperate with the newly elected office holders.

He made this known in a statement released on Wednesday, November 13.

While congratulating Dr. Deji Doherty on his election as Lagos State Chairman of the PDP, Ige stated that party leaders should work collectively with the new leadership to salvage Lagosians from the misgovernance of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

“The unity of Lagos PDP will enhance the performance of her role as an efficient and credible opposition party and an alternative government to the insensitive APC led Government in the state,” Ige said.
He also congratulated Elder Dada Olayinka, who emerged as the assistant secretary of the party.
The chairman further described the newly elected leaders as highly experienced and enlightened leaders who have a robust understanding of the vision of the party.
He maintained that the election revealed the confidence all well meaning members of the party have in the capability of Dr. Doherty to lead the party in achieving unprecedented electoral victory in Lagos State.
