The Commissioner for Home Affairs, Pharm. (Mrs) Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf has advised Lagos state residents to be tolerant with one another.

She made this known during the celebration of the 2019 international day for tolerance on Saturday, November 16.

She emphasised that the state, which is home to people from varying backgrounds, underscores the need for tolerance during interpersonal relationships.

Yussuf acknowledged the hospitality of residents, especially their receptive disposition towards strangers while stating that the trait has earned the state accolades locally and internationally.

She revealed that the state government put in place programmes for the event, adding that a symposium with the theme, “Enhancing harmonious relationship and peace among religious bodies for better socio-economic Development in the state” will hold on Wednesday, November 20.
