The member representing Alimosho 01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Bisi Yusuff, has commended the Lagos State Fire Service for its timely intervention during the fire outbreak in Ipaja on Monday.

Yusuff gave the commendation in a post via his official Twitter handle @Princebisiyusuf.

A 33,000-litre tanker had exploded at Gate Bus-stop in front of Honeyland School which is located opposite Abesan Estate, Ipaja after hitting an electric pole.

The lawmaker, who visited the scene of the incident, said that the activities of pipeline vandals led to the incident.

Yusuff said that the joint efforts of the fire service, the police, and other emergency agencies, who reacted promptly to calls, averted further damage from the fire.
