A businessman, Nureni Oyeniran, has landed in police net following an alleged shady transaction with a travel and logistics firm, Tanimola Logistics Nigeria Limited (TLS), in the Ijegun area of Lagos.
Our Community learnt that the Managing Director of TLS, Yusuf Tanimola, petitioned the Divisional Police Officer of Isheri-Oshun police division over the issue.
He explained how Oyeniran had collected the sum of ₦1million for the production and supply of a special type of charcoal but produced a wrong type and criminally loaded the container destined for Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Tanimola went on to state that the container reached Dubai where his clients discovered that the products were fake.
According to him, the process of ensuring that the container got to Dubai cost over ₦4 million.
The TLS boss explained that Oyeniran’s act had strained his business links and stained his image before his foreign partners.
Oyeniran, who ascribed his action to the devil’s manipulation, promised to deliver another container with the correct product to Tanimola by December 27, to remedy the damages.
He also pleaded that Tanimola should support the conveyance or freight charges from his farm in Oyo State to Lagos from where it would depart to Dubai, against which Tanimola promised to aid him with ₦200,000.
He was granted bail after he wrote an undertaking to the effect of the new arrangement and presented a reliable surety, Our Community gathered.
