There was no shortage of economic and developmental discussions as Archbishop J. I Ojo of the Calvary Kingdom Church spoke on the topic, ‘Leadership, giving others ladder to climb’ with the catchphrase: “Don’t talk them down, talk them up”.

He highlighted the need for humans to help others achieve success in life, and not become an obstacle to their progress.

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Prof. Ogbonnaya Chukwu, who addressed the participants, emphasised the place of the church in enhancing Nigeria’s economy.

He explained that prayer in the church goes a long way to change the economic situation because God is above every economic challenge.

Chukwu, whose name translates as ‘God’, said the house, Nigeria, shall not fall while making reference to 2 kings 7:1-2, adding that with the prayers of the church, Nigeria’s glory will be better than it was and not the other way around.

The event was not only one for spiritual matters as it met other needs as well. One of which was the medical outreach conducted by Evangelist Binta F. Jalingo of Binta Evangelist/Medical Outreach, Jos, Nigeria. Evangelist Jalingo, a Muslim who converted to Christianity and became a powerful evangelist of the word of God, held a miracle healing crusade where she brought down the power of God and touched lives with Christ’s gospel.

There were testimonies galore as countless members and participants testified to God goodness. Topping them all was when Dr. Uchenna Chukwuegu was made a Bishop. His Glory Chapel and His Glory Academy also took the opportunity to thank God for experiencing and witnessing God’s manifestation of spiritual, physical, numerical and financial growth to the glory of God.  The testimonies continued and drew applause and praises from the congregation.

The last days of the event which was followed with rejoicing and celebrations with the conference thanksgiving held at the church on Sunday morning. The Thanksgiving allowed for all participants, guests, members and the ministers to thank the Most High God for the success of the conference and the testimonies that were got.

This however wasn’t the end of the conference, as a Dinner party was held to relax and take away the stress. There was a lot of food and drinks within the reception premises as it was also a dinner in honour of Archbishop Ojo who was celebrating his 70th anniversary.
