The Alimosho Local Government Area and Falana & Falana Chambers have concluded arrangements to establish a Consumer Protection Council (CPC) in the local government.

A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Alimosho Chairman, Kunle Jamiu Ayinde, disclosed that this was the outcome of a meeting the council boss, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon, had with the chambers.

According to the statement, the Consumer Protection Council when functional will assist the residents of Alimosho to enforce their rights when cheated in businesses.

“It can be issues relating to house rent, fake product, (unsatisfactory) services among others,” the statement further read.

“Processes have commenced to establish the centre soon in Alimosho Local Government Secretariat,” the council boss, Hon. Sulaimon, was quoted as saying.
