The Chairman, Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Hon. Morenike Willimas has advised beneficiaries of the council’s vocational skills acquisition programme to make use of the soft loans provided by the Lagos State Government to become self-reliant.

Williams made this known during the passing-out ceremony at the LCDA vocational training centre on Tuesday, November 12.

She urged the beneficiaries to capitalise on the funding avenue provided by the state government through the Ministry of Wealth Creation to become self-sufficient, as well as employers of labour.

The council boss commended the efforts of the instructors in grooming and impacting meaningful knowledge into the students.

The Supervisor for Education and Library Services, Comrade Alani Babatunde, appreciated the council boss for her role in uplifting the educational system, especially in the areas of adult literacy and vocational training.

He also called on the graduating students to encourage their wards by practising the vocational skills acquired.
