The Chairman, Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon has commissioned local fashion designers to produce sixty thousand nose masks for distribution in the council.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser, Media to the council boss, Jamiu Ayinde on Thursday.

The council boss said medical experts have advised that the use of nose masks would help reduce local transmission of COVID-19.

He stated that the distribution of the nose marks would be done next week to complement the efforts of the Lagos State Government.

Sulaimon said, “We have contacted local fashion designers to make the nose mask and it will be distributed to residents.”

This is coming after the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said nose mask would be made compulsory in public places starting from Monday, April 27.
