The General Overseer, Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, says he has no regret for not donating money to the government to aid coronavirus response.

The fiery preacher defended his stance in a tweet on Thursday.

Suleman said he has donated, alongside his wife, Dr. Lizzy Suleman, hundreds of millions of naira to needy Nigerians since the global pandemic reached Nigerian shores.

According to him, the masses, and not the government, are hungry.

The cleric said he would rather give directly to the poor that need the money than go through “greedy” politicians that would end up embezzling the funds.

He tweeted, “I hear people are calling me out for not giving money to govt to combat covid 19..Govt is not hungry, why shld I give them?..God will reward my wife and I for the hundreds of millions we have given this period. we give to the poor directly..giving is for the needy not the greedy..”

Our Community can report that Suleman gifted N500,000 to Twitter followers of ex-presidential aide and fellow Pastor, Reno Omokri on Tuesday.
