The Executive Committee (Exco) of a newly-formed Alimosho Councillors Forum have appealed to the Chairman of Mosan-Okunola, Hon. Princess Olabisi Adebajo, to always carry the councillors along in her administration.

This was made known when the forum embarked on a familiarisation visit to the LCDA on Thursday, November 7.

The group emphasised the need to be carried along especially in areas of project execution in the council.

Responding to the appeal, Adebajo said that she had always involved councillors in her project executions, as they were elected and have a responsibility to the people.

She cited the example of their recent involvement in a planned road construction project in their various wards which she said would start after the rains have stopped.

Adebajo stated that councillors in Mosan-Okunola had also been put on an insurance scheme which they will get claims from by the end of their office term.

She added that their severance package was also being worked out in order to avoid excuses from any quarters when the time for it arrived.

She advised visiting councillors to always cooperate with their council chairmen and never be swayed to do otherwise due to consequences that may follow.
