The member representing Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo, has won re-election into the House of Representatives in the National Assembly elections held on Saturday.

Adebanjo, who is popularly called Eyes Open, was declared winner at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s collation centre in Ikotun on Monday.

According to the Returning Officer, Prof. A.A. Adekunle, Adebanjo secured 55,136 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Mr Abdul Azeez Akinsanya of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 37,539.

“I hereby declare Olufemi Adebanjo of APC, having satisfied the requirements of law and scored the highest number of votes, as winner and he is returned elected,” Adekunle.
