A faulty PSP truck belonging to waste management company, Amazing AAT Intermix, has remained abandoned at Unity Estate in Idimu 48 days after its owners promised to remove it.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Babatunde Adewale Martins, had told Our community on October 23 that the truck had not been abandoned intentionally.

He explained that it had developed some mechanical faults, promising that the faults would be fixed at the end of October and removed from the spot.

However, some residents took to social media on Tuesday, December 10 to lament that the company has failed to remove the truck as promised more than a month after.

According to them, the truck has continued to pose environmental and health risks to residents as many persons had converted the area to an emergency dumpsite.

When contacted on Tuesday, Adewale apologised for the delay, stating that the problem has already been resolved.

“I am so sorry. It wasn’t intentionally abandoned like I said the last time. The problem that we have has been resolved in terms of getting the spare parts.

“We have already got the spare parts and everything has been fixed,” he said.

Adewale added that the vehicle will be removed by the end of the week.

“I can assure you that before the end of the week, it will be removed from that place. We are going to fix the engine there too and test it on ground by tomorrow.

“By Friday, the vehicle should be out of that place,” he said.
