The Chairman, Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Olabisi Adebajo has urged stakeholders to state the needs of their respective wards in preparation for the council’s 2020 expenditure.
She said this during the just-concluded Budget Stakeholders’ Forum on Tuesday at the council’s Multipurpose Hall.
During the interactive session, representatives of each ward and other stakeholders took turns in discussing issues affecting their wards, while emphasising on bad roads in the area.
Adebajo explained that the council was aware of some roads that were bad in different wards, stating that works would have started on most of them if not for the rains.
She stated that road repairs will resume since the rain had stopped, assuring stakeholders of rehabilitation or complete construction of affected roads, where necessary.
The chairman warned residents in the different wards to desist from dumping their wastes in drainages leading to road dilapidation by erosion.
She disclosed that security meetings would soon be held in the council, adding that issues of lack of security in some areas of the council would be duly addressed.
The Budget Officer, Mr. Ahmed Oludegun, who also spoke at the meeting, stated that the interactive session with stakeholders was necessary to know areas of pressing needs of the community.
He urged residents to always pay their dues to the council, adding that statutory allocation would never be enough to take cater for community needs.
